How we process your personal data:
This privacy policy lets you know what happens to any personal data that you give to us, or any that we may collect from or about you. It applies to all services we offer, and instances where we collect your personal data. This privacy policy applies to personal information processed by or on behalf of Creative Music Ltd.
Definitions:
The terms “we”, “us”, “Creative Music” or any variant of these refer to Creative Music Ltd. Company registration number is 06917759 (UK).
“Your information”, “your details”, “information”, “details” or any combination or variant of the above terms refer to information that may be deemed useable, on its own or in conjunction with other data, to identify an individual under the GDPR legislation, as of 25th May 2018.
How we will process data for students attending Creative Music:
The personal identification data we hold on students and how we use it -
We will use the information that you give us for communication regarding lessons booked with us at Creative Music Ltd. We may use SMS messaging and/or email to communicate with you, as well as phone calls.
The purpose of our communication with you will include:

The initial organisation of music lessons for a student (child or adult)

Ongoing communications regarding music lessons, and/or exams

Changes to music lessons (e.g. scheduled times and/or days)

Option of additional lessons at any time (e.g. Summer school or further additional tuition)

Changes of teacher

To send invoices in advance of the forthcoming term of tuition

Collection of outstanding fee balances if applicable

Failure of lesson fee payments via online payment methods

Any issue regarding payments related to but outside tuition specifically e.g. instrument rentals or repairs
This list is not exhaustive.
In the case of students who are adults (over 18 years old at the time of booking) we retain your name, status (where given), email address, telephone numbers (mobile and/or landline numbers).
Where students are under 18 years of age at the time of record creation, we will ask for a parent or guardian’s name and contact details as set out above on behalf of the student(s) being enrolled. We will also ask for the students name and may ask for the current age of the student for help with tutors lesson plans.
We will contact the parent or guardian on behalf of all students under 18 years old.
Legal basis of processing data:
We will process your data on the basis of consent regarding matters surrounding the music school & communications surrounding & specifically relating to the provision of this service (e.g. direct debits & our instrument rental scheme). If you are on our waiting list for lessons, we may also contact you termly to ask if you would still be interested in lessons.
Additional non-personal data we hold on enrolled students:
We will retain other (non-personal data) within our data records including, but not limited to, the day & time of your attendance, the number of attendances made, the teacher(s) you have, the instrument(s) you are learning and the standard of the classes you are currently in. This data is used exclusively for timetabling and administrative purposes within our organisation only. We do not share, sell or otherwise disclose the data we hold on you pertaining to tuition services to any non-essential third parties.
Removing your data from our records:
You have the right to request we permanently delete your information from our database at any point. Whether you currently have lessons through us or not. You may also request a copy of any & all personal data that we hold on you. We will make this data available to you on request with suitable I.D. in digital format. To request your data or to ask for it to be removed, please make your request by email to contact@creativemusiclessons.co.uk.
COOKIE POLICY
Your Internet browser has the in-built facility for storing small files – “cookies” – that hold information which allows a website to recognise your account. Our website takes advantage of this facility to enhance your experience. You have the ability to prevent your computer from accepting cookies but, if you do, certain functionality on the website may be impaired.
SOCIAL MEDIA CONSENT
We’re keen to share some of the great moments that happen during our lessons at Creative Music. In order to do that we first need your permission to share footage or other content that your child appears in.
Capture and Usage:
Footage/content will be captured at the Creative Music Ltd premises and captured by one of our tutors. The footage/content may be used for promotion on social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram, as well as our company website and/or printouts such as promotional leaflets and posters.
Safety & Precaution:
We will always endeavour to protect the privacy of any student included in our content. This includes not sharing any content that discloses a student’s name, school or other information that could help an individual identify that student.
Copyright:
Creative Music Ltd reserve the right to use all captured content for any application related to the business. The child and parent/guardian of that child reserve the right to request a copy of the footage/content or to refuse further use of that content.

Right To Revoke:
Once you have signed this declaration, you have the right to change your mind at any time. At the point of revoking your declaration we will stop sharing any further footage that your child appears in. To do this you can contact Creative Music using the details provided above.
Declaration of Consent:
This declaration is made in person at Creative Music reception either when you sign up with us as a new student or when otherwsie asked.
JOBS
INDIVIDUAL TUITION
We always welcome hearing from interested music tutors. If you would like to enquire about becoming a tutor at Creative Music, please fill out our application form and you'll hear from us shortly.
KIDS MUSIC SCHOOL
Our Kids Music School sessions are currently run by our Individual Tuition tutors. But if you are a musician that has experience running sessions with small children and interested in getting involved then we want to hear from you. Please get in touch at contact@creativemusiclessons.co.uk.
CONTACT POLICY
When you get in touch with us via phone call, email, filling in a submission form or coming in to the shop we will add your contact details to our enquiry system so that we can follow up on your query and make sure our customers get the best possible experience. Once your query has been dealt with your data will stay on file with us until our systems reset at the end of the calendar year and all our inactive queries are removed. We won't ever contact you for anything that isn't directly related to your query but if you would like your data to be removed manually please get in touch through our contact page.
